• After hardening, the flats are refined with a surface-conditioning belt for that signature brushed stainless glow.
  The final edge is born across 800 → 1500 → 2500 grit belts, then leather stropped to a mirror.
• The result: an edge that arrives scary sharp, stays sharp for ages, and touches up in seconds — all shaped by hand, one knife at a time.

In an era of CNC automation, we refuse to let the human hand disappear. Every row of jimping is machined post-heat-treat on our 1930s Linley Brothers Co. Jig Borer — a Bridgeport, Connecticut legend built when American steel was still poured and filed by men who signed their work.

With a 1/8" solid carbide end mill spinning under steady hands, we cut deep, crisp, glistening grooves that lock your thumb exactly where it needs to be. This isn’t mass-produced traction. This is the shine and soul only a lifetime machine and a living craftsman can leave behind.
